Unplugged Wednesdays with Teesta Galway at Lodi - The Garden Restaurant

Catch Teesta Galway live at Lodi - The Garden Restaurant on Wed 16th July.

Teesta Galway is self taught singer and guitar player who claims to have a thousand gurus. Her music is influenced a lot by the likes of Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and draws a lot of inspiration from the vocal style of Tina Turner. Primarily a folk and blue-grass artist, Teesta is mostly seen performing solo sets, but is an equally at ease playing as a duo or with a band.
Teesta's music is about what she grew up with and of what she is still growing up with. She writes about the people she meets and places she dreams of travelling. To her music is simple, mostly acoustic something a common man on the streets will understand Teesta's music is raw and threadbare.

Unplugged Wednesdays with Kapil Chetri at Lodi - The Garden Restaurant

Catch Kapil Chetri live at Lodi - The Garden Restaurant on Wed 16th July,8.30Pm onwards.

Kapil Chetri
Kapil Chetri took to the guitar at an early age like most kids in the North East. “Being born and raised in Kohima, where guitar is kind of like a household thing, he grew up listening to blues legends like John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King. Back in Nagaland, he used to play for Kohima-based rock n roll/blues band Heads and Tails, which played the first two editions of the Hornbill Festival.
Chetri, who is also part of Delhi-based blues band Big Bang Blues, has been performing solo since October 2013. As a solo artist, he primarily uses acoustic guitars and the slide in his sets. “I am not much into processors and other gadgets. I use both the glass and metal slide. Glass produces a warm and mellow tone, which a brass slide does not.”

He is also looking forward to release an EP by the end of 2014.
